dress: gift from my mom // cardigan: handknit by my grandma // boots: mock IM Dickers // jacket: barbour // scarf: handknit by me // bag: baggu
Back in the PRC. I spent Valentine's Day teaching the first of my spring semester classes and sleeping for 13 hours straight. I decided to depart from my witchy-goth all black/grey stylings as of late and go with some color to keep my students from feeling too somber for having to go back to school.
I'm so happy I knitted this scarf over winter break--it's the coziest thing to wrap around me when I get up in the morning. The boots are Isabel Marant Dicker-inspired, found on the streets of--where else?--China. I like everything about them except for the heel, which I think is imitation wood and doesn't curve inward like the real thing. Otherwise, they're a great cheap alternative that I'll happily stomp around in them until I maybe invest in the real mccoy. Or buy a second pair in black. I already have a pair of Dolce Vita Jamisons in black, but these are way more comfortable. Gotta waterproof them soon though, as spring weather here means rain 5-6 days a week :(
